Topic of the Month – Preparing wood for turning and spalted wood
Topic of the Month
Ray Hyde will start us off with a talk about spalted wood. He will show examples and share some of his experiences turning spalted wood. Then, we will discuss planning and preparing wood for turning–moisture, shrinkage and stresses will be covered. Bring your questions, examples and knowledge to share.
Action Items
Show & Tell – The value in having our club is to share information and learn from each other. Please bring an item for show and tell.
Membership Dues – To date, only 35 of our
members have paid their dues for the 2019-2020 season. If you haven’t paid your
dues yet, please send your check and signed application today or bring them to
our January meeting. Thank you!
