Hi
everyone,
Next week’s meeting will be focused on learning from each other through an
extended Show & Tell session. Bring one or two turned pieces you’ve made
recently PLUS any pieces of exotic or highly figured wood to show. We’d like to
see a wide variety of wood species and learn from you (or get advice from other
members) about the challenges of turning them. Also, if you need help orienting
a bowl or other object in a seriously gnarly piece of wood (like I do), bring
that too!

Every year, we invite a skilled woodturner to our club to
conduct a demonstration and workshops. We’ve spoken to a handful of demonstrators
and want to gauge your interest in attending a workshop by Rudy Lopez this
fall. He’s an excellent woodturner and instructor who demonstrates at clubs all
over the United States and at AAW’s Symposium. I’ve attached a list of the
