Hi, everyone,
Box making is the topic for March, so please bring your box projects for
Show and Tell. Both finished boxes as well as your questions about
works-in-progress are encouraged. Sharing information and learning from
each other is just one of the great reasons for coming to meetings.
Romaine Meller is our demonstrator of the month. Read below for details about
what you will learn.

Topic of the Month – Box Turning Demo
by Romaine Meller

How to turn a quality lidded box efficiently
Turning a lidded box
can be as complicated or as simple as you want to make it. After turning
hundreds of lidded boxes during his time at the lathe, Romaine has developed a
straightforward way to create lidded boxes with a minimum of tools. During his
demo, he’ll address choice of wood, design, techniques, lid tightness and the
best tools to use.
In April, Greg Whitaker will demonstrate Multi-Axis Turning. Take a look at the attached flyer for more information and for his Dropbox link, from which you can download his handouts on the subject.
