Program – Creative Ways to Hold Your Work
The topic for our November meeting will be work holding. Robb Glibbery will start with various methods for mounting blanks between centers. He will also discuss scroll chucks and various jaw types.
Romaine Meller will demonstrate double-stick tape with faceplates and his use of jam chucks.
John Skarja will discuss and demonstrate vacuum chucks. We will talk about commercially available equipment and some tools that he has made.
Please bring other work holding tools you may have so that we can also discuss other methods of attaching wood to the lathe.
Also, bring your questions and comments.
Note: The Fire Marshall is reviewing the shop at H&H for safety. Until H&H completes discussions with them, we are unable to do any turning in the facility.
