Show & Tell
Please bring samples of the Christmas gifts and ornaments/decorations you’ve made to give the rest of us ideas and inspiration.
Action Item: YOU are enthusiastically encouraged to demonstrate how you made them.
Our Sharing session on the 20th will be your chance to try your hand at making these items (or to work on the project of your choice), receive some coaching and to just enjoy shop time with other members. Details are further down the page.
Renew Your Membership
It’s time to renew your LSWA membership. Still only $35, you receive an entire year of woodturning education, workshops and camaraderie. The membership form is attached, so just complete and mail it or bring it to the October meeting.
LSWA To Exhibit and Sell At Knotty Carvers Event
We’ve accepted Knotty Carvers’ invitation to have a LSWA table at their annual show on Saturday, October 27th This woodcarving show offers the public an opportunity to see the wide variety of carving styles performed by their club members as well as by carvers throughout the region. Vendors of wood and tools will also be at the show.
LSWA will set up a table to display our members’ woodturnings. If a lot of members want to display, we can certainly get a second table.
