Meeting Notice

We will now be having the meetings on “summer hours”, so they will be on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 P.M.
The demo for the May meeting will be Bowl from a Board – Beyond Basics with Tom Lohman. In this demonstration Tom will explore design options to create complex patterns using the Bowl from a Board technique. The presentation will cover the complete process of design, construction and finishing. Tom will provide the details for several boards that were created along with the finished product. Our club is extremely fortunate to have Tom willing to share his expertise on segmented turning!!
If you have taken advantage of the ½ price membership offer from the AAW, your dues are coming up soon. We as a club recommend all our members to also be members of the AAW. They have helped our club out financially over the years, as well as having excellent benefits to their members. The AAW magazine is just one of the excellent benefits.
There will be a “Sharing Session” on May 16th, at 6:00 P.M. If you are interested in attending, please contact Robb Glibbery as soon as possible.
As my wife and I have travel plans next winter, I will be unable to continue to be club secretary. We will be looking for someone to take over these duties. I know we have many extremely talented people in the club who would do a fantastic job. If you are interested, (and willing), please contact one of the club officers.
