Show & Tell – Please bring one or two of your pieces to discuss design. We wish to hear your thoughts and then see what others may have to offer. Your work can be something you think is great or something that is less than great. Instead of the usual show and tell, we will be focusing on design, not methods. This will follow the design presentation.
PROGRAM – July’s topic is Hollowing.
Robb Glibbery: will demo the way he turns hollow vessels with a home-built rig based off the Jamison system. He will discuss wood choice, chucking, cutters, tools, and techniques involved with hollowing.
Jon Stephenson: will show his Frank Sudol boring bar with steady rest.
After the demo, members will get a chance to try several hollowing tools.
MASKS ARE NOW OPTIONAL. HOWEVER, WE ASK IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL DO NOT ATTEND.
